Excellent - but only because they weren't really tested. Cas decided to take it up the middle and stupidly lost the battle.
We were very flat and made you look a lot better than you actually were, to be honest. Don't think we deserved to lose that considering the possession and pressure we had in 2nd half but ho hum, can't win them all.
I still have issues with this slowing down the play-the-ball. Two weeks on the bounce we've had it inflicted on us now, with few penalties for it. What was worse yesterday however was split markers - if you watch Bradfords markers, they were rarely stood square which dictates our options in attack making it easier to defend. With all the noises from the RFL in recent years about wanting a faster game, I fail to understand why things like this are left largely unpunished.
That said, where we rose above it and played our own game last week, this week we failed quite miserably in that respect and were quite soundly dominated in the forwards. We had the pace out wide which we simply failed to use and when Danny Orr went off, we may as well have just ran around in circles, such was the lack of navigation whilst piling pressure on their line.
As badly as we played - it was easily our worst performance of the season - we still only lost by four points so it's time for Matterson to make a couple of changes and for the boys to bounce back next week.
