Ainscough back to Widnes : Thu Apr 29, 2010 10:05 am
I find this strange as it was announced at the Crusaders game he was on a year long loan to us...

Re: Ainscough back to Widnes : Thu Apr 29, 2010 10:15 am
I suspect he's at Widnes on dual-contract which gives Wigan greater flexibility in the event of injuries.

The "year-long" deal is a bit of a red herring given it contains a 48-hr recall clause.

I heard it's something to do with Ainscoughs contract and the bonus he gets for playing a certain amount of matches for Wigan this may put Wigan over the salary cap and he's got bored and signed for Widnes???? all hear say though!!!!

Corrected.

Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. Who needs flankers' grammar was actually correct.

HTH.

Why would Wigan care if they go over the salary cap? They never have before. Warrington are probably over it already anyway.

As I said on t'other forum this is a good deal for all concerned.

We no longer need him with Thompson impressing as of late. It is a better deal for Wigan as they can use his services at any time without disrupting the deal with Widnes. Widnes get a decent player.

Following his hat-trick for us, his defensive incapabilities were highlighted too often and we stopped passing to him anyway.

I'd sooner have Thompson on the wing, his defence is much better and he has proved that he knows his way to the try line a number of times already and obviously he's a Cas youngster getting invaluable experience.

Spot on mate, he isn't as good as Jordan in defence and Jordy also gives us lots more options with his versatility!

Too right, who needs 17 tries in 11 games.

Theres more to rl than scoring tries, he is defensivley very weak, and was costing us more points than he was scoring, rather play jordan thompson there, homegrown, much better defensivley and knows how to score.
