Re: Team vs Wakey : Sun Feb 06, 2011 5:36 pm
We have read a lot about Orr and Chase wanting to develop an understanding, but I have a worry that came from the Hull friendly.I would like to see Milner as a direct replacement for Hudson when the changes are being made. If we start messing around with Orr at 9, McGoldrick and Chase in the halves, it does nothing for developing combinations and confidence. I thought we looked far more disjointed when McGoldrick came on in attack and he was left chasing shadows on our right side of defence.
We have a long standing problem with McGoldrick and that he is positionless. He doesn't have one. We constantly tinker and play players out of position to 'accomodate him' somehwere in the line. Matterson has eluded to the fact that now we have Mathers, it frees him up to play in the line. Therefore, I feel we will play the season with both Orr and McGoldrick sharing the most pivotal position in the team and for me...this isn't a good thing.
