Huddersfield aren't the best but neither are we. Good performance, I can't believe it but the kicking was excellent. Great to see us getting repeat sets.

We wore them down through those repeats sets and making fewer errors.
Walters keeps getting better which makes his going to Wigan start to sting a bit.
They deserve praise for last night, I think this is the weirdest team I’ve ever seen.
Started to think about going to Wire but then thought about Cas, HKR and wakey away so will save my coin.

It was a good performance. We had energy in attack and defence, and we executed the basics better than we have in most games this season.
Obviously, the caveat is Hudds are dreadful and completely devoid of spirit, intensity and flair. Watson's head has completely gone. But we've played worse teams this season and lost, so we can't be too picky

I think it’s time for a grown up conversation about the relationship between Ian Watson’s ears and the caps he wears.

Great all round performance in almost every way.
Energy, enthusiasm, organisation, flair, desire, line speed!!! - all the things we've lacked for weeks.
But it's going to take a few more performances like that to erase the memory of the last few weeks.
It will be even more frustrating if we serve up more of the recent garbage, having seen what we're capable of last night.

Austin MoM by a mile. I think we need to get him tied down to a new deal now before he starts looking elsewhere.
Yeh, he's rocks and diamonds, but he's unique and his diamonds are very, very good. And he's great in interviews.
Lisone was superb as well. Exactly what we've needed from a prop. Run straight and hard. Simple.
Also very impressed with Fusitua and Sezer. Both had plenty of deserved stick recently, but both had very good games.
Really hope Johnson keeps getting his chance off the bench. He's got plenty about him and will keep improving.

And maybe Smith can actually coach after all.......

Fair play to Christopher.
A few weeks ago he said that we're going to give someone a good hiding one of these days...

We must back it up against Wire.
I don't care if we lose, as long as we compete and show all the spirit we did last night.

Quite correct, it was a very pleasing performance. Both half backs performed well. At last we produced a decent kicking game , probably first time this season. The end result was we had the lions share of possession. Myler linked well with the half backs so we had numerous attacking options. Several players played to full potential, after several below par performances. The end result was evident. As for Huddersfield most of them looked like they wanted to be elsewhere. Davy deserves better than that ,he has invested big money in the giants and probably kept them afloat.

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Re: RD 16 | Huddersfield Giants (H) : Sat Jun 24, 2023 8:04 am
Went out with friends last night and recorded the game to watch when we got home. Where has that been hiding? When you’re tougher in defence and make the opposition work harder to clear their lines the get tired and make errors, we know more than most. Defence is the foundation stone of victory and we were light years better in defence last night than most of the season. Austin was sensational, he needs another year, but now we need to find consistency to go with the renewed effort.

Best performance of the season, congrats to all the team, coaches and club staff for completing a perfect night.

Good performance, some great attacking play and aggression in D.

Lisone looked like he had lost some weight and seemed fitter, good to see his improvement.

Thought Roberts put in a solid performance, which he needed.

Not seen a Leeds kicking game like that for years, Sezer and Austin both with great games.

All round good team performance but some of Hudds defence was pathetic

Somebody should let him know it’s summertime and a warm one at that. He was dressed for a March evening kick off. Joking aside his team let him and the fans down.. lt looks like the team has had enough of him and can’t be bothered.

The way watson talks in interviews I'd say he's let the team down, with each time he talks he seems to create more distance between himself and the players. Watch the half time dressing room clip, continually pointing outwards, not body language that's going to bring them together, he lost them months ago when he started calling people out.
