It's not possible. If someone wants to hit a player late, they can. You can't protect against it.

This is the problem. If taken off the ball, there's nothing anyone could of done to stop it. The forwards could of been aggressive, and worked as much space for the halfbacks as possible, hit them late and there's nothing to be done.

Walsh is smart, I guess the best thing we can do is let him know it's coming, and let him protect himself with an elbow!

Usual comments from wane when his players are penalised for foul play - wasn't their fault, the refs are all against sweet innocent Wigan etc etc

Its Wheeler who needs the protection, we all remember last time, he was having a big impact on the game and they took his shoulder out and off he went injured.
Wonder if Mose can do a "legal" job on Micky Mac and trample all over him.

I bet Walshy is up to the challenge and give himself extra time, its the smack from Micky Mac when your back is turned that is the problem.

Get Mose to smash Micky Mac from the start, illeagally if needed, take him out for months. The message will go out, mess with Saints players and you'll be a guest of the NHS. So what if Mose gets a 5 week ban, he'll take that to get fully fit anyway, and he'll be a saints hero. With any luck they're best player O'loughlin will retaliate and get sent off too!
