I love watching the NRL on Premier Sports, but that garbage was to R.L. what Mrs Brown’s Boys is to comedy.

When I first moved to Aus I quite liked the Footy Show, never having seen anything on mainstream TV that was RL based. Over time it got more and more juvenile and puerile and I stopped watching a long time ago.

I liked the premise. A light-hearted show in front of an audience, occasional pi55 takes but it was just nuts and was cringeworthy rather than funny.

As for Mrs Browns Boys, it frankly amazes me as to what people will watch in this country. That and Rugby Union just prove to me that people will just watch bull5hit and believe it's brilliant because they're told to.

Ive actually read stuff by critics saying that mrs browns boys is actually the worst thing ever made haha people in ireland actually find that show highly and completely offensive apparently. I mean that show could even a bigger pile of excrement than England union trying to keep the illusion that people like their sport going.

Worst things on TV, Mrs Browns Boys, Russell Howard (over excited try hard school kid), Mock The Week (televised knock knock jokes), im glad I have a more refined taste in comedy.

Not sure this is right - Premier Sports have announced a full weeks schedule of RL that includes the Footy Show AND Sterlo on the couch....

Mon - 1 Live NRL game + Monday Night with Matty Johns Show
Tues - NRL Fulltime
Weds - Sterlo on the couch
Thurs - 1 Live NRL game + Footy Show + RL Backchat
Fri - 2 Live NRL games
Sat - 2 Live NRL games
Sun - 2 Live NRL games

Premier Sports again showing their commitment to RL - that is some cracking value for money if you enjoy watching the NRL. They asked for feedback from their subscribers and have listened to the feedback and created that weekly schedule - great work!

It's a shame they're not big enough to challenge Sky's monopoly on English RL and offer a realistic alternative - they certainly appear to value the game (and their own subscribers) more than Sky does.
