What is the capacity of the terrace at LSV?

Also, what's the concourse like in our North Stand? Is it a single open concourse at that end (and were they stopping you lot from standing on teh back step too?)?

Think the North Stand at LSV is 3,000ish and it's much 'deeper' than the terraces at SCS (can see that just by the amount of terracing above the exits at Leigh when compared to Salford along with how much rows of crush barriers there are).

The full stand was open as far as I could see, but again it is an open concourse so it feels almost outdoor when in the toilets with it not having a ceiling as such. The toilets in that stand are on the side furthest from the terracing though so not sure if the peeping tom issue exists (I'd guess not because I'm sure someone would have spotted it )

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

The LSV north stand is a full 4,000 capacity, it is that that took the stadium up to 12,000 , from the original all seated 10,000

Glad I was'nt on the front row in the centre, there must of been 12 or more coaches, trainers, water carriers and subs stood up in front of seats, it looked like being at an amateur game at rabbit hills

You can shout for silence, but boots worn all day will always hum.

I have to say on a very cold wet and windy day or night there is no where to get away from the elements or get warm in the north stand the wind was bellowing through on sunday and it was just as cold under the stand as it was on the terrace. Not a very good design which could put away supports off returning even though it's better than the Willows.

They aren't brand new stadia. Plus the view even from the back of the stand is below average. I have to say, to put all the money into one huge stand is a bit daft but thats just my unbiased honest opinion. when I come to watch you lot as a casual fan I will be sitting in the comfort of the west stand. Oh one other thing whoever posted that the ground is out by 45degrees is nearly right It's about 25 to 30 out . I took my compass and my sunpath and if you are in the north stand on matchdays with kickoff times like last saturdays you will need a sun visor.

ok but take your comments up with Salford City Council/Peel Holdings - the joint developers of the stadium

First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.

Isn't the view from the first 10 rows of terracing the same kind of view as every other stadium in the universe? How can it be below average?

It's surely a better view compared to the flat standing area behind the posts at the Willows end where many fans used to stand. You are obviously not aware that the lower level terracing is only phase 1 and the foundations are already in place for the second tier. (Whether this ever gets built is another question)

I'm not a Salford fan I am a Leyther it's upto you lot to do that. On the plus side it is lovely big playing area and the lack of advertising hoarding down the sides gives it a nice open feel. I wish they would get rid of them at our place as they are an eyesore because they are nearly all empty.

Must admit I thought the view would be a little better, where I was stood the bar on the posts was eye level for me when I stood I was stood on the top row and it obstructed my view several times, having said that maybe that’s more to do with me being vertically challenged than the stand itself. The wind yesterday was bad and even under the stand there was no protection from it. Are the big gaps at the top of the stands going to be used for advertising boards, or are they planning on keeping them open as it just looks stupid. I presume there will be advertising boards around the side of the pitch too. One things for sure though I hope the players aren’t to sensitive this season as when we are getting stuffed at home they can here everything that’s going to be shouted.
