managed to get hold of footage of leigh matches from the 81/82 championship season on dvd.

just watched the lancs cup final, the hull kr challenge cup win and 2 league matches(extended highlights)

i had forget how good we were
the forwards powerful and skillful and that backline that dreams are made off.

i still live in hope that one day we will have another great team.

gladly lend to anybody whose interested

Ah I remember them times too. When we were playing to big crowds and there still was only 3300 on.

I will have to be P M'd for details, I'll sell you Barties as he's not picked his up YET hint! hint! It contains highlights of 81 cup final (what there were) the game at Hull KR and a couple of others at HP (highlights) in all about 2 and half hours but TBH never timed it, those who have hadit haven't complained- well not to me anyway .

The match at HKR - was that the challenge cup match that we won by 2 points when woody kicked a late goal? I was at that match and remembered being chased back to the coach by a load of HKR 'fans'. The coaches were parked in a park about a mile from the ground and we had to have a police escort out of hull cos the 'fans' were bricking the coaches! Great days eh?
