SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
you need to get a grip mate. If people want to leave early then so be it, it has nothing to do with you. People spend their well earned money on money to watch the team and if they dont want too clap the players or stay till the end then it doesnt matter. You have clapped the team on... well done but people have different ways of dealing with performances like that
And that's why we are where we deserve to be , the strength of a club is not measured in the bank balance of it's owner , the loyalty , pay packet or quality of it's playing or coaching staff , it measured in the number and loyalty of it's fans
We are a weak club after tonight , yes people spend their money , but if you consider watching your local towns premier sports club to be the equivalent of going to the pictures , you haven't a clue

Give me the money saint ian has earned in is two seasons and the player budget he's had at the most successful club outside of SL in the SL era and I'd fancy my chances.
No point be good all season and not at the business end when it matters.
We lost in a semi final to the better team. We won the NRC. We played the best RL I've seen for years in the process.
Its good enough for me when you consider 2 seasons ago I saw us lose away to Gateshead Thunder - a defeat that more or less confirmed our 'relegation' to Championship 1.
It would seem we had a lot of W1g4n fans watching us tonight , maybe some of them should get their boots on and have a go at playing the game , they are obviously better than the players wearing the shirt tonight , given some of their comments on here
You should get a cape and wear your undies outside your tights you could be known as "Superfan". Get off your horse Steve.
What was most disgraceful was the attendance. Pathetic turn out for a semi final eliminator, the town doesn't deserve a decent side if thats the best they can do.
Agree about the booing btw, absolute waste of time and uncalled for.

We have lost and been utter rubbish for the last two games. I wouldn't have minded if sheffield played really well tonight but they didn't and with the team we have we should be going to Warrington. Yes we are weak because there is no money in the club. Rumours of players already talking to other clubs before the play offs is over. Some players already left and the coach can't even be arsed to clap the fans. Now im sorry but if you want to clap some players for being disloyal ( and i understand that we have had a great season and not all players are disloyal) then you do that. But the performance was disgraceful and if i was a leigh player i wouldn't have expected any different from the leigh public.

Financially it won't get any better than the coach we had in the stands and the squad he had at his disposal this season.
In reality far more can and has been achieved with far less finance sad but true.

Yes we are a weaker club after tonight because that performance on top of all the recent bad press has probably lost us possible ST purchases. An average season with a GF appearance would have probably been a hell of a lot better for us. The only thing that will get the people of Leigh to come and watch this side is consistant good form. This year (i really hope) is the start of it.
