Sam Hewitt - New deal 2022
Jon Luke-Kirby - New deal 2022
Innes Senior - New deal 2021
Louis Senior - New deal 2021
Remaining OOC I would go for the following:
Lee Gaskell - Sign up
Jake Wardle - Sign up
Joe Wardle - Sign up
Paul Clough - Release, time for younger lads to step up.
Suaia Matagi - Depends which other props are available.
Ukuma Taai - Sign up 1 year.
Adam Walne - Release, injury prone.
Aaron Murphy - Should retire now.
Leroy Cudjoe - 1 year depending if can shown he can still play on much reduced wages.
Oliver Russell - Sign up.
And then the big one is trying to offload Uate which should allow us to recruit a hooker.
It will be like having 2 new players with Golding and Butler when this season resumes.

i know as well as you that gaskell is on a lot of money but as started to play

Strong rumours that the entire 2nd year of the u18 academy are been released . They had played 2 won 2 and I would have thought that at least 6 of them deserved keeping on . Strange if true as academy goes to u19 next year and I believe scholarship to u17 so they would only have 1 years worth of academy players unless some of the released agree to amateur terms

It's happening game wide. Clubs can afford expensive overseas signings but apparently they can't afford to pay the pittance that the teenagers in our sport earn. |
