Hypothetical situation, as he says he'll be back for the season, but...

If both French and Zak aren't available for Rnd.1 who would people play at FB? You'd think one of Field or Hanley would be the front runners. Would be interesting to see how Peet goes, as Lam seemed to pick anyone but Hanley at FB.

We absolutely would.

He may not be the strike player he once was but he is an outstanding defender and leader in the group.

Whatever he may be like away from the field if he were to leave Wigan he would need to be replaced with a quality signing.
