Who have we got on the books that can play FB aside from Shaul? Rankin and Horne spring to mind but with the arrival of Pryce and Sneyd next season I'd say there's question marks over their futures. We may need cover.

I'd suggest Horne is cover, he's so inexpensive as regards the cap, there is no other player who will cover as cheap.
Rankin could be an amazing centre

But what if they aren't around? Just speculation on my part but with the arrival of Pryce and Sneyd we have five senior half backs on our books for next season as things stand. Those two, Horne, Rankin and Miller. Add players like Abdull, HTW and Reece Dean to the mix and I'd say that the club is going to have to release one or more players. Now, given that Miller is playing for Donny you would think that he's probably the most likely to go but there's rumours Horne may retire which would put him out of the equation as a back up FB and there's the possibility the club may prefer to use Abdull, HTW, or Dean as cover for Pryce and Sneyd. If that was the case then they could be looking to offload Rankin as well.
As I said earlier, just speculation on my part. Signing a backup FB for Shaul isn't something I'm going to be ruling out as an off season signing.

Back in Hull.
Abdul has played a fair bit if his youth days at FB.
Kear is a decent player, but won't be signing for us. I reckon we will keep Rankin anyway, I would for another year to give the young players another year of development.

Elliot Kear if we sign him I'm going to set a race up with him & my nana! He is a very poor signing for anyone, imo

No even for us on a "make do, stop gap" basis?
