Its not the fault of the fans when the Chairman states we are close to signing two quality outside backs.
Pearson has probably not even seen the guys play so he must only be repeating what he is told by Motu/Radford.
It would be far better to simply say we are looking to sign two outside backs from the NRL but its Pearsons way of trying to excite fans into buying passes.
The same happened last season when it was stated we had signed an outside back, with real pace.
The same Steve Michaels who arrived has a bit of pace compared to the likes of Yeaman but shouldn't be classed as having real pace.
I'm not accusing any fans for recruiting, AP is a sales man he's going to say anything to sell passes, & I do believe he is doing the best for FC. He's got out of promising Wembley trips & certain league table finishes, because that does nothing for us, we've signed in the last 3 seasons some very good signings in Ellis, Sneyd,Taylor & Pritchard, there is no other big names available in the positions we need, so it's either an up & coming star or an over the hill journey man. With like I say who's available? Because believe me they've tried a very lot of agents & players on both sides of the globe, that fit into the cap & are professional athletes, we could have tried the Salford approach by breaking the cap, but it's not worked as it.
