I think anyone who critisies mcCormack are bang out of order.
He did a great service to the club and unfortunatley for him he lost the players in the dressing room this year who let him down.
I had some idiot woman behind me all game calling for Ste's blood claiming he was training the gateshead players to be thugs. He's only been there 2 weeks! Clearly a part time supporter.
Atleast Ste had the decency to applaud the players and home fans at the end of the game.

I'm sorry but a major part of the reason why we are so poor this season has got a lot to do with McCormack. Its him who picked the players and its to do with him IMO that the training farce was allowed to happen.

Funny how last night he was barking orders to his charges all the time but when he was with us he just looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights. He's probably found his level now and thats with the likes of Gateshead.

However it was nice to see that he was clapping the South Stand after the game and it was also a nice gesture from the Widnes fans to clap him and his team off.

Well said. McCormack took us as far as he could and such is life some things just do not work out. People seem to conveniently forget the expansive rugby we were capable of in 2007 when we won the NR cup with a team hand picked by Steve.

Jiffy Davies you are an embarrassment to decent RL fans with the amount of bullshit you come out with. Let's not forget that we were 24 - 0 down after half an hour and we were looking at a massive pasting.

I say all credit to Gateshead for the way they played. They came here to do a job and almost embarrassed us in the process. Have word Jiffy you moron.

I didn't think he was doing the business at Widnes, but have a lot of time for Steve. A top bloke and will do a good job up at Gateshead.

The same Gateshead that could quite easily have embarrassed us last night? What level does that put us at? Let's not be under any illusion here that this is a very competitive league this year and I think you've done Gateshead a disservice with your comments.

A Gateshead team that after going 24 nil up then went on to concede 46 points with only 6 for. A gateshead team near the foot of the table. Yes they nearly embarrased us but when he hit our straps couldnt live with us. We even bombed two two tries when it was easier to score.

Are Gateshead also 75% full time or is that Toulouse??

No you are right it is Gateshead that are a worse full time effort than ourselves.

Everyone always talks about teams raising their game against us. That was Gateshead's final last night and I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that McChoker's team bottled it.

As others have said, as a bloke he seems a really genuine and honest, but as a coach, he f'cked up Widnes big style.
