Had bit of poop game for us today!
Catalan knock on which resulted in a Catalan scrum.
Simply shocking decision.
Penalty for a high tackle when the tackle was below the knees.
On this one, the penalty was given for a head high tackle that happened just before the legitimate tackle went in. The player shrugged off the high tackle but the ref gave the penalty when there was no advantage gained. That was fair enough.
Not allowing Ben Davies to carry on when he picked up the loose ball.
Again, looked like he'd missed an opportunity to award us an advantage when we had broken away with the ball.
The Ah Van no try, was he in touch or not? I couldn't see where I was.
Couldn't see to be honest but the touch judge was VERY VERY late in putting his flag up.
Then there was the new rule about not being able to win the scrum against the feed. He didn't even bother to signal his decision on that one.
For me though it is the randomness of choosing when to ping a team for lying on, being offside or not being square. (We'll say nothing about players moving off the mark as in SL that rule doesn't seem to apply.) There is no consistency whatsoever.
