I doubt many on here will go to watch the phoney NSW Crusaders.

I got to go to this, we will be expected to lose, but there is a reasonable chance of us turning them over.

What a way to signal out intent that would be!

Denis will get an idea of his best team for this with us playing Wire the week before and our playes will all want to prove themselves against a SL team (looking for contracts for next year if we join SL).

It should be a cracker!!!

Looking forward to a visit to the Stobart, any suggestions or advice for parking near the stadium?

The official advice is:

There is no on site public parking at the stadium, however, limited free car parking is available in the Caldwell Road Area - please follow signage. Motorists should be mindful that parking on streets adjacent to the stadium may lead to obstruction and difficulties for emergency services access. street free parking is available at both the Caldwell Road public Car Park and the Council car park at the Municipal Buildings, Kingsway, Widnes. Both car parks are located 150 to 200 yards to the rear of the ground.

NB The local ASDA car park now imposes a 2 hour parking restriction on it's car park - the area is monitored and fixed penalties are levied..

However, we usually park in the side streets on east side of the stadium. As long as you don't park obstructing people's drive you should be fine.

Nice to see some SL oppo on board, it will be a tough test for the lads but it should see them battle hardened if nothing else.

As a Leyther we have never had a problem parking close to the ground and getting a pint close to it. Always enjoy coming to your place and just might make it for your friendlies.
