An asian friend of mine has hot water with ginger and lemon in it every morning all year and never gets a cold or tummy upset. I have been trying it with vit c, ecanacia and all the familly have had flu except me.
Seen quite a lot of the squad in the gym over Christmas. As long as the majority are building their fitness, it doesn't matter too much if they're not on the field as much as they should be at this stage.

I take echinacea, not had a cold or chest infection in 2 years (touch wood).
