i did not claim echinacea does not improve immune response, as it has been shown IN SOME cases to improve this.. i did not claim ginger does not have antibacterial properties, it does but only with regards to digestive bacteria which have no real bearing upon a rhinovirus taking hold in your respiratory tract. it does not in itself 'kill' the common cold or flu virus. it actually kills the things that cause stomach upset and digestive tract issues. thus it has no bearing whatsoever upon colds/flu or lack thereof. so rather than getting needlessly confrontational with your ultimately anecdotal take on my comments, go and do some research yourself.
also you obviously missed or ignored the part about the placebo affect. which pretty much makes your comments irrelevant anyway.
and your last paragraph is about as irrelevant as it gets.
and in response to what im assuming was a rhetorical question, yes actually i think i am pretty much as well up as i believe, dealing in facts rather than anecdotal evidence or the experiences of me and a few friends out of six billion people. or maybe they gave me the sports nutrition degree purely out of charity?
im not an idiot, i know full well to look into just who funds the research i come across.
my original comment was intended in jest and a good natured attempt to blow away some myths (of which there are far to many taken as fact)
frankly there was no need to be a bit of an booty about it.
