I think you will find that there is a plan in place for next season and this one is just to get the SL wheels turning for Widnes. Thats the only plan I can see as the track record of Mr Betts in your last year of the Championship was dire to say the least. Also you kept quite a few of your championship side which anyone could see could not really compete in SL. If I was a Widnes fan and season ticket holder I would still attend the games in the hope that things will change for the better in your second year. Widnes have everything and more that is needed to be a SL side apart from some players and - if you ask me - a good coach. I cannot believe that the board and backers have not already targeted players and staff for next year.

So, everything needed to be a Super League side, apart from players and a coach?

All artists are willing to suffer for their art. So few are willing to
learn to draw.

Just anyone with a sound knowledge of defensive structure and how to win the play the ball will do.

It does seem to be our main problem the play of the ball. We're always on the back foot in defence with the opposition getting quick play of balls and in attack we're just too slow. When we actually have a decent platform for the more attacking players we're not totally clueless we're just not getting there often enough.

Look how many times our forwards are put on their backs by the opposition defence. It was most drives against Bradford.

what do you expect you only got into Super league by a hairs breadth. You won the Northern rail Cup Final against barrow with a handful of loanee players, then hardly won another game. What would have happened if you hadnt done that. You were nowhere near a Grand Final Appearance. Fev should be in Super league not Widnes.

Maybe fev should be in superleague, thats a maybe. The one thing i now for sure, if fev were in superleague that little titchy, long since died on its booty mining village could not support a team in any which way worthy of the place in superleague. so what exactly is your point?

If Fev were in SL they would have exactly the same problem, a lack of time to assemble a squad for the first season.

With the greatest of respect, Widnes is a very small town too.

We can't really read into sizes and populations of towns. It doesn't mean anything. London get the poorest attendances in SL yet London is massive.
