Whilst you are pointing out "the facts" (otherwise known as your opinion) please correct your fellow wire fan who made the rather pathetic claim that widnes rarely get over 2,000 fans. It's interesting how people are quite choosy which "facts" they choose to correct.
I think it was a good turn out from both sets of fans for a friendly on a cold winters day. I don't think we will get anywhere near that when Wire come to our place. For a game that probably didn't really apeal to a lot of fans 1700 (which is my estimate) is good. Well done Widnes fans.
Are we saying wire brought more? You had the smallest stand remember and put both sides of Vikings in there would of been full I reckon. Did think crowd looked more the 4,000 Mark!
Yeah we are. The East Stand (where we was located) holds 2500, we probably filled it from what I could see, and if we didnt at the very minimum even if there was 500 seats left free, which their wasn't, thats 2000. Now, I'm no expert at Maths, but thats 2000 minium for us and the attendance was 3700 or close to that, thats 1700 Widnes fans.
I was always sceptical when we were at Hilton Park and you could pay cash on the gate. The place was full the seasons when we won the Premiereship, as it was then and they used to say todays attendance is 3500. When we were in SL the place was half full and they used to say that the attendances were 4, 5 and 6 thousand. Cash turnstyles.

Yes, yes, my bad. I wrote 1,450 instaed of 2,450. If you read the rest of my post you'll see I said that there was at least 1,700-1,800 in there. That wouldn't have been possible in a stand which only holds 1, 450.
