Hi there, popping down from Preston on the train for the big game on Thursday. Could anyone please give me directions to the stadium from the Train station, your official website is a bit of a minefield in that department

Hi mate when you come out of Widnes Train Station, you should walk down the road towards the park direction.
Do not cross the road and head for the park mate.The park is just a 2 hundred meters from the station.Carry on walking until you see a school on your right handside, and the crown pub on the opposite side.From the crown pub walk about 200 meters furthur, and turn right down highfield road.This is a main road and walk about 300 meters and you will see another school on your right handside.Keep walking another few hundred meters and then you will see a main junction.Go straight over junction, and a few hundred meters down the road is the widnes ground mate.Hope this helps, and if you go on google earth that will help more clearly.Hope you enjoy your visit mate.

* Come out of the train station and turn right down Birchfield Road for about 5 minutes
* Carry on along Birchfield road until you see a road on the right called Highfield Road. Go down this road to the bottom and you will see the Albion pub facing you.
* cross over and carry on down that road (lowerhouse lane) and the Stadium is at the bottom.

All in all around a 15 minute walk with some watering holes on the way (Crown/Albion/Cricketers)
