He added: “When our Super League application was turned down last time we were told it was because as a club we couldn’t display a track record of stable and prudent management. When the applications for the next three-year period are submitted later this year we will be able to do that.”

That's what Widnes have done - exactly that. Many clubs who did/did not get licences haven't. It's a no brainer isn't it? Isn't it Mr Lewis?

You would think so. However, would the replacement team be up to scratch for the Championship? Frankly I'll have Widnes over Cru or Salford any day!

Indeed. The only susbtitute i'd accept is Castleford and that aint gonna happen. (obviously i'm discounting the "nailed ons" like Saints and Leeds )

Despite the tempetuous and fractuous nature of today's posts between the two sets of fans i'll miss the banter with the Widnes fans when they go upstairs. I guess we'll be slating Salford fans after 2012 then.

Rich, I am sure Fax will be making super league sooner or later. If Widnes do. If we don't, they're spelling out a message to this division that we'll never be able to make it.
