TBF I'd rather play Leeds or Hull than Hudds.

If Rovers win their last 2 and Hull lose their last 2 then Rovers will play Hull at Craven Park.

Know this sounds stupid but didn't Maguire say he wanted the league shield the last home game of the season would Wigan not want to win it were all they're home fans are rather than at our ground, i mean 1st place is sorted its the rest up to 7th that's hotting up i can honestly see Hull ending up 7th now...

Hull have Warrington who are pretty much certain to be resting players ahead of the CC final, then Leeds who'll be knackered after it. 5th at worst for them and probably 4th. IMO. If Wire's fringe players, hoping to earn a place at Wembley, pull off a shock it puts them under pressure, but for them to fall as far as 7th every result needs to go against them - including us beating Wigan.



If Wigan beat us they can be presented with the plate before the final game (or after it if they view it as a distraction), in front of their fans.

The good or bad thing about it is that every game for the top 7 really has something to play for. there are so many permutations that it makes any tactical play for results impossible.

I think Hudds v Hull is pretty much impossible as it stands unless its in round 2.



As much as I'd like to think we will I really cant see us getting anything from Wigan. If they'd won yesterday then it may have been more likely but I'm resigned to 7th and an away tie at Leeds, Hull or Hudds. Fc would be the showcase fixture but TBH I'd rather anybody than Hudds.

I think he said that he didnt want it presented untill the last game of the season, rather than have results go so they "win it at the DW on the last game of the season. For that to happen they would need to lose the next game, hope wire win the next game (if they both lose, or Wigan win, then Wigan will in effect have "won" it at Craven Park anyway). If that happens they will have to win at home in the last game.



All of which is pretty well irrelevant anyway as the only way Wire or Saints can overtake Wigan is for wigan to lose 2, saints/wire to win 2, and on top of that make up over 100 points difference on Wigan so for all practial purposes Wigan have already won it.

Hilarious. Warrington are on equal points with Saints in joint 2nd and a marginal points difference advantage, so you are saying they'll surrender 2nd and home advantage in the first play-off without a fight by putting the academy team out. And the follow-up that Leeds will give up 4th and it's 2nd attempt advantage is also a bit odd, particularly since they've smashed us twice already this season. Are you quite well?
