| I'm sure all who come on to the forum know by now, but this game will be played next Tuesday at the Keepmoat Stadium. Would be nice to gain some revenge for our defeat to the Rams earlier on in the season.
In the League Express today, Tubbs expects to welcome back Quentin Laulu-Togagae, Dom Brambani and Steve Thorpe for the match. QLT hadn't recovered from an adductor strain in time for the Donny match, whilst Brambani and Thorpe complied with concussion rules.
Pat Walker is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines. He suffered a broken toe in two places in the defeat to Bradford Bulls.
Prediction - Eagles by 14

| Completely o/t but for those who like a bit of news every day: If [url=http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://www.sportchoc.tv/sport/breve/championship/12146-s%25C3%25A9bastien-martins-signe-%25C3%25A0-newcastle-thunder-plut%25C3%25B4t-quau-lou-ou-%25C3%25A0&prev=searchTHIS[/url is true, and not agent speak, does it lend credence to the rumour about another prop from another Yorkshire club which has now kept going for 2 days?
Could he debut against Dewsbury?

| Seb Martins went well against us last season in both matches despite us hammering Cru at the Racecourse. A brilliant signing for Newcastle Thunder in League 1.
Moving on to us, and not going into any rumour talk like Griff doesn't like me doing , I am looking forward to seeing Steve Thorpe back out on the field after his absence against Doncaster. He's been one hell of a signing and I'm very glad we've got him contracted for three years, from February 2015 that is.

| Nigel Borham has messaged me with some more "strange stats/facts about Sheffield-Dewsbury matches"
General Sheffield v Dewsbury Stats
Played 46 Won 28 Lost 18 Pts For 1117 Aga 929
New era: Played 37 Won 24 (14 at Sheffield) Lost 13 (5 in Sheffield)
Penalties Awarded (35 games) 281 Conceded(35 games) 287.
Last loss at home 10th May 2007 and there have been 10 consecutive home games won.
Prior to this season’s opening game the last loss was on 19th August 2007.
Finally, Ron Laughton has refereed the most matches between the two sides (5).
There have been 19 different refs since Feb 2000.
To help with your predictions on scores: If Eagles score more than 20 points they have never been beaten. A score by Sheffield of 10 to 19 has resulted in a defeat for Sheffield.

I don't quite know what to make of it.
I ain't sure if he is thinking on planning for The Championship or Super League for next year.
With Mitch Vincent leaving Doncaster I now make it that all 3 who left For Donny have now left the Dons and Hanson has left York.
Leaving The Eagles doesn't seem a good career move.

| Realist I would suggest - being where Buls and Leigh are now - next year giving a chance of promotion end of 2016!

| After seeing the Eagles-Rams match thread on the Dewsbury forum, they were discussing what their 17 would be for Tuesday. So, seen as I threw my two pennies in and gave my Eagles selection, what would be your Eagles 17?
1. Quentin Laulu-Togagae
2. Scott Turner
3. Menzie Yere
4. Sam Smeaton
5. Rob Worrincy
6. Kyle Briggs
7. Dominic Brambani
8. Eddie Battye
9. Keal Carlile
10. Mitch Stringer
11. Michael Knowles
12. Jamie Langley
13. John Davies
14. Steve Thorpe
15. Tony Tonks
16. Duane Straugheir
17. James Davey
Feel bad for Blagbrough as he hasn't done anything wrong but Thorpe deserves a runout before Blackpool. Was in a state of two minds whether to go with Briggs-Aston or Briggs-Brambani but I went with the latter as I think that will be our pairing for Saturday's match.

| I get the impression, judging by the unrecognisable team Dewsbury put out against Warrington and the reports of 14 players injured and 2 cup-tied,that they are targeting the next 2 games against us and their local rival Batley as 'must wins'.
Hoping for a big, noisy attendance to help the Eagles push on over the line in this one.
