Seems a good signing - will see how he goes.

Better than any of the other second-rows at the club, imo. (Except Ali if he ever gets fit again, but that's a very big if).

From the little I saw of Hauraki (I missed the home game vs Crusaders) I was impressed.

Seemed like a typical NZ/S Sea Island forward like Manu of Hull.

Not got the skill or footwork of Ali but looked durable therefore likely to give us plenty of gametime.

A solid affordable addition to the squad.

Still think though that Sammut would have been more what we need.

Underwhelming.



Seems to be a trend with Leeds recently when it comes to overseas signings.

Whilst not getting carried away with this signing, who will presumably count against our overseas quota, previous signings of this ilk have often proven to be shrewd. Willie Poching is an obvious parallel (for several reasons).

He will fill Eastwoods role as a strike force second rower, and he will also cover and replace Ali.



He's a handful, he's ok and he's of the right age.



Not the type of player that will get more through the gates mind, something Hethrington will need to look at will gate figures dropping.

im more suprised with the talent pool wigan have. they needed to sign 3 imports and give carmont a new contract(dont you have 2 cracking young centres coming through) plus the other 3/4 you have? is that 7/8(not sure about phelps)! with the great acadamy at wigan i dont really get it. leeds on the other hand have 7 overseas players. the same or less than the pies.

4 overseas out 3 in. Seems like our chairman is trying to make steps in the right direction. How many teams starting the next season will have a space on the quota? I know we will and over the coming years i expect us to have more.
