Don't feel I need to, Leeds consistent success on the pitch and in developing young players is second to non as I said before, and hardly worth the moaning that goes on.



My thoughts are that Kirke is low down the pecking order and they've 'rotated' him into this game as it's 'only' Salford and McDermott wants to develop match fitness with a number of players for if they really need to be called upon.

(seems pretty rational when you put it that way.....however still seems unfair on Pitts in particular tonight: he might have had that chance to really shine in attack against the present opposition)

you never know what goes on in training, also a decision from the outside can look strange, but with the knowledge of the coaches thoughts etc can make a lot of sense.

To be fair i thought Kirke did alright last night it was strange re-Pitts because he didn't play in the u20's and looked pretty fed up sat behind the subs.

Me too. No doubt someone will find stats to say he was awful but I thought he drove in pretty well and pullled off really good tackles.

Seth made what I thought might have been a salient thought earlier in that Kirke was just been used for the less challenging matches: I hope this is so.



Kirke might have played (relatively) well, but if he is 'rewarded' with a place in the next 17 against Saints then it is IMO rather harsh on Pitts. The same principle of [iif you play well you will get the next first team match[/i should have resulted in the younger lad not losing his place to Kirke in the first place.



The same principle could be said for McShane after the WCC match.

Mc made the point last week re-Mcshane in that he rates him but at this moment in time he's just looking at Hood and Mcshane will get back in at some point.

In terms of Pitts i agree and i've said on numerous occcasions i'd take Amor ,Singleton ,etc etc over what Kirke offers but he (Kirke) did well last night and imo it has to be mentioned because that's only fair mate.

NE did you go last night to what must be virtually your nearest ground?
