I think this raises another question, would we have Beaver another season? If we did would another overseas have to leave once the places are reduced or would Nero becoming federation trained solve this?



If Beaver has another cracking season I'd get him signed up

He will be doing wonders with the young lads like Elliot, James, Koppy George and Tom.

Its all ifs and buts, I doubt the Club could give an answer if asked at the Forum tomorrow

nero wont count on quota if he stays so we'd have quota spot for menzies next year but I'd imagine we'd be looking to us it on a /winger rather than an 2nd row, particulary in view of the number of 2nd rows coming through the youth system at the moment. Could see menzies moving into a coaching role though.

I doubt any club would turn down Menzies as part of the backroom staff, but it would depend on whether he'd want to stay for that role.

Keeping Menzies at the club in either a playing or coaching role would not be a foolish move by any standard. Now, we are short a quality centre. Given the 2nd rowers we've got coming thru why not move Beaver to 3? I'm just saying, I think Sherrife would be a hell of a lot better a winger with a quality centre next to him

That's actually not a bad idea tbh, Sheriffe would do alot better as Menzies defending is top class.

If Beaver stays on in a coaching capacity wouldn't that require a change in work permit? I think he'd need the coaching qualifications to get a work permit too.

I doubt the club would box themselves in by making any such commitments at this stage of the season, it wouldn't be the brightest move imo. Are there any options built on the end of his current deal anyway, this is often the case?
