I'm a bus driver and from experience just because there is a bus stop there, temporary or not, it doesn't mean that a bus goes that way!

Buses are like relegations in rugby League....you wait three years for one and then 3 come at once.

Do you work for First? If so, are you having a private competition with the posties to see who can be on strike the most often (and the most irregular times)?

The bus stop is for the 597, Leigh to LSV bus; which used to be the Leigh to Marshall Street, run by Jim Stones. Goes from Stand M, where the 600 bus leaves. The new timetable shows the bus being re-routed through Pennington and to the LSV, with First Manchester taking over the service. Operating from Monday to Saturdays, from 0905 and every 30 minutes until 1605. No Sunday, evening or public holiday service.

The bus service as been put on to cover for students going to College

And therefore doesn't correlate with a single event at the LSV

I don't know mate you and you're colleagues are creating havoc for my other half. She works at Morrisons in Ince and on Monday's I have to get up at 6 to run her up and my Dad has to pick her up at 2.



Not only is it tiring and a pain but as she pays for a monthly ticket she's out of pocket.

There's already a bus for the students that goes from the bus station. It's called 'LSV Go.' The 597, up until Monday, was run by Jim Stones and just went onto the Marshall Street estate. So it's not a new service, just a change of route and provider.

I know where your coming from. But if you knew what has gone on you'd understand why we are doing i. On the monthly thing, she will get 4 extra days on the ticket after its run out to include the strike days, same with weeklys they get an extra day.

As a former driver myself for North Western ( Arriva ) I agree with the terms that they are asking for , but the pittance of the pay increase will take years to rake back the money lost through the strike .



Its about time that these companies stop treating drivers as grease monkeys and give them proper pay and conditions

So it's about as much use as a chocolate fireguard to any fans wanting a bus on a match day from the bus station who are either elderly or have a disabilty and useless for students who's lectures start at 9am
